THE trial of a man accused of stealing more than £82,500 in a series of armed robberies has been halted after he said he was unwell.
Haik Madoyan, 43, formerly of Yerevan, Armenia, had been due to give defence evidence but the jury was instead sent home while the matter of his health was investigated.
Madoyan denies 16 offences, including five charges of robbery, three of attempted robbery and eight of possessing a firearm, between May 30, 2006 and December 8, 2007.
